Based out of Curitiba, they didn’t want to fit into standard industry boxes, so they built their own creative home from scratch, founding the production company The Youth & Co. and the animation studio Colossal.
This gives them the freedom to work as a true collective, throwing themselves into everything from raw, indie music videos to massive global campaigns for brands like Pepsi and Volkswagen.What makes YOUTH special is how naturally they balance each other out. They operate like a single brain split across three people who just get each other. Eduardo is the storyteller, the one who keeps everything grounded in real human emotion. João is the visual artist, always dreaming up the aesthetic world and figuring out how different styles can live together. Yuri is the eyes of the group, acting as their cinematographer and using real 16mm or 35mm film to give their work a beautiful, tactile grit.Because they share everything from start to finish, post-production is never just an afterthought to them—it is part of their DNA. They love the magic of mixed media, spending hours stitching live-action film together with hand-drawn 2D animation and 3D design. They are highly technical when it comes to tracking shots and mapping out digital spaces, but they always try to keep things grounded by mixing in real, physical elements on set like practical lighting or rain. The result is a hybrid style that feels incredibly rich, handmade, and alive, a unique craft that has won them top honors from Cannes Lions to the CICLOPE Festival.
