Patrick Daughters is a renowned commercial and music video director known for his vividly expressive filmmaking.
Patrick launched his film career with immediate success and quickly became part of the vanguard of music video visionaries, working with Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Adele, Feist, Depeche Mode, Beck, Grizzly Bear and Phoenix. He took home MTV VMAs, Grammys, and UKMVA honors as well as the claim by Pitchfork that he is "one of the best directors of the decade for his cool, conceptual and cinematic work."
Asked if in comparison to music video direction there are any limitations or constraints from advertising work, from agencies or clients, Daughters replied "It's more about an interest in the art of telling a story in 30 seconds. It is also about the opportunity of working with actors and succinct pieces of dialogue, with not every frame dominated by music."
Renowned brands such as Chanel, Stella Artois, Sony, O2, Acura and Honda have fallen over each other to have Patrick create 30-second masterpieces for them, resulting in recognition and awards from the AICP and D&AD.
