BLOK

Before there was BLOK, there was Paul and Rich, who spent many-a-year making comedy series across the world for the BBC, Channel 4, Sky and Netflix. Paul and Rich first met on a job in the Arctic Circle, where they bonded over the mildly traumatic experience of witnessing the castration of a reindeer by a young Sami tribe member, using only her teeth.
In 2019 this bond birthed BLOK in a dark and stormy night in 2019 in London. One of the duo is apparently more director than DoP and the other is more DoP than director but essentially, they are one person just with four arms.
We love their multi-level quirky humour, their intricate and ingenious set-design, their spot-on casting, and the lovable on-camera characters they portray. Every film sweeps you along a sit gathers momentum, leaving you in a better mood than you were originally in. We think BLOK should be available on prescription.
